Felix

Tonight was the night.

Shannon took a deep breath and turned to do another circuit of the living room. All of the lights in the apartment were off and he avoided the furniture mostly out of habit. He held a wide ribbon of fabric in his hands which he bunched and straightened repeatedly as he paced.

There were moments when he wondered if he really could follow through with this plan. He suddenly felt like he would forget what to do once Felix came home. That's when he'd go to the computer and realize that, yes, he did know what he was doing. Then he'd wonder if Felix would like it. That was the worst doubt of all.

Time ticked by at a snail's pace and Shannon's mind kept up its torrent of worries until he heard the jiggle of a key in the lock. His breath caught in a gasp. Here we go.

He moved to stand by the door where he wouldn't be seen by Felix when his lover entered. The door opened, and before Felix could reach for the light switch he ordered, "Stop."

Shannon gasped as the tightness enveloping him clamped even tighter. He stroked Felix through his orgasm, until his lover was completely spent. With a gentle kiss, Shannon eased the blindfold off of Felix's face to admire him unhindered. Shannon's mouth curved uncontrollably into a grin.

"You look absolutely debauched," he said, his voice a proud whisper. I did that to you.

Felix's eyes blinked open somewhat drowsily, and the first thing he did was smile up at Shannon like he was smiling at the very sun. Unconsciously echoing his lover's thoughts, he purred in reply, "That's your doing. I've been entirely in your power."

His words dropped to a whisper. "I loved it."

Shannon's grin brightened until he was beaming. "I'm glad you liked it," he said, which was a pathetic understatement to how he felt.

He carefully pulled out of Felix and shifted to lay down next to him, keeping close and leaving their legs tangled together. "Was it anything like you expected?" he asked.

Felix turned his head, experimentally stretching his tired arms. "I didn't expect. Hoped, maybe..." That sleepy-looking smile again, though he was far from drowsing. "I thought if you tried anything, it would be tying me to the bed. You are... extremely creative."

That smile wasn't going away any time soon. "Thank you," he said. "And I hope you aren't averse to being tied to the bed some time in the future. That rope is reusable."

"Not at all," Felix half-purred, stretching until he could drape his arms around Shannon. "Why don't I just give you my permission to re-use the rope whenever you like."

"Be careful Felix," Shannon warned, but his voice was teasing, "I may take you up on that."

"I wouldn't say it if I wasn't serious," Felix murmured, still faintly smiling. Laying together, content and laughing after such intense emotion and sensation, felt like a gift. He did not want to shatter it with too much solemnity.

"Mmmm," Shannon mused, pleased with the thought. He brushed his fingers lightly over Felix's skin. "Perhaps you can help me come up with an idea next time," he said.

"I think I can summon an idea or two," Felix agreed, nuzzling down to steal a swift kiss from Shannon's lips.

Shannon smiled. Then his eyes crinkled in amusement as he confessed, "This idea came from an image I found online."

"You did research for me," Felix noted, his warm purr taking on a softer sound. Shannon generally found Felix's fascination with research to be rather dull, yet he'd spent time and energy to learn about something that Felix wanted.

"Don't let it go to your head," Shannon teased.

He kissed Felix lightly. "I may have understood the concept when we talked about it," he said, "but that was only a vague impression. I wanted to do it right."

"You did it so, so very right," Felix promised, and then kissed him a little more than lightly.

Shannon wrapped his arm around Felix and pulled him closer. He parted his lips, inviting Felix to deepen the kiss even more.

Felix closed his eyes and tasted Shannon's lips, then his tongue, and then the sweetness of his mouth. Later, they could clean up, perhaps eat, and fall asleep in each other's arms. For now, this was all that Felix wanted.
